Established in 1990, PVAA Baseball is a non-profit organization that offers baseball opportunities to children as young as 4 years of age, and leagues from T-ball to Major American leagues. PVAA Baseball operates fall and spring leagues at Davis and Cornerstone Parks with opportunities for Rising Stars and Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth recreational baseball with All Star opportunities (Spring season only). In 2012, a Travel Baseball division - Ponte Vedra Thunder - was added to the PVAA baseball offerings for children age 9 through 18.
Our organization believes in teaching proper baseball fundamentals in a fun and encouraging atmosphere where sportsmanship and teamwork are emphasized. Please visit our FAQs for additional information about our programs.
Beginning January 1, 2018 all bats used in Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken leagues (i.e. PVAA Recreation Baseball) must be marked with the new USA stamp and comply with the barrel size for the respective division. Barrel size may not exceed 2 ¼ inches for the T-Ball division and 2 5/8 inches for the Rookie division and above. No other bats will be allowed in league or tournament play beginning January 1, 2018. A full run-down of the new bat rules can be found at https://www.baberuthleague.org/bat-rules.aspx.
These bat rules do not apply to Travel teams. Nothing has changed for Travel where USSA is still the standard.
Baker’s Sports is providing a unique opportunity for players to demo the new bats in their studio, along with discounted pricing where appropriate. Contact Baker’s Sports at 904-388-8126 with any questions you may have about their offering.
